I am a Silicon Valley native and a current resident of San Diego. I've worked in the start-up software scene for the last two years, developing processes and procedures from scratch and acting as a pivotal role in building a team and bringing the company to profitability within the first year.
Starting with creating the Customer Success and Support department, I implemented a streamlined implementation process and introduced Zendesk as the mode of communication between the company and our customers, which now boasts a 100% satisfaction rating and response time of 17 minutes during business hours.
I have been directly involved in scaling the company from zero active customers, to over ten major distributors for one of the largest food retailers in the world, deploying our software in six different countries, directly monitoring nearly two-million deliveries a year. In addition, the strong relationships I have built with customers allowed me to gain trust and credibility to earn new business through special projects and product up-sell campaigns, equating to an additional $23k in MRR and over $200k in one time revenue from 2018-2019. With the adoption of the Lean Startup methodology, my focus has remained on setting realistic budgets, reducing costs, making incremental but strategic improvements to our software, building customer loyalty and fostering an internal culture of coaching, transparency and pride.
Previously, I worked on the corporate/operations end of the for-profit, education industry for over eight years and was the top performer in leadership, quality and impeccable efficiency in various director roles. For me, it's never been about the the title of the job or the buttons to press, it's the ability to quickly learn and maximize the effectiveness of how I, and those around me, do the job. I have a unique talent to inspire, drive and influence teams to be their best and there has never been a time in my career that I have come in second place. I was previously honored with being named a top five nationwide finalist for Multiplier of the Year in business for 2015, an award for great leadership and the devoted development of others.
BEYOND THE RESUME
I strongly believe that it's important to be a well rounded professional, so I dabble in several areas of business to keep up with current trends.
Marketing - For the last year, I've served on an advisory board for Mattr Marketing. Through my involvement, I've helped to develop their platform for bringing together social influencers and major brands to create authentic and effective marketing strategies in today's ever changing world of advertising. In addition, I have been interviewed in several podcasts and been invited as a guest speaker on webinars that train and educate a large variety of big brands such as Ford and Dell.
Writing - I am a contributing writer for "A Guide to Leadership and Management in Higher Education: Managing Across the Generations" by Poppy Fitch and Brian Van Brunt. Praise from the author, Poppy Fitch: "I have to tell you that your Example from the Expert is the most insightful and well written we’ve received. I’m not just saying that, either. You have a real talent and insight." The book is currently available for purchase on Amazon and is used by higher education professionals across institutions nationwide.
Management and Career Consultant - I've utilized the skills that I've developed over the years to help individuals and businesses grow. I've worked with a wide range of clients from customer service directors and university leaders to individuals looking to enhance their professional presence to land their dream job. I've consulted with Silicon Valley start-ups like Tripcipe, helped individuals land coveted positions at Amazon and Facebook and assisted a director from Coach create their professional portfolio in preparation for a major career move, just to name a few.

LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY
Servant Leadership
As described by Kent M Keith's Definition of Servant Leadership:
Greenleaf described a philosophy, not a theory. However, based on the views of a number of scholars, the elements that are most unique to servant leadership compared with other theories are:
(1) the moral component, not only in terms of the personal morality and integrity of the servant-leader, but also in terms of the way in which a servant-leader encourages enhanced moral reasoning among his or her followers, who can therefore test the moral basis of the servant-leader's visions and organizational goals;
(2) the focus on serving followers for their own good, not just the good of the organization, and forming long-term relationships with followers, encouraging their growth and development so that over time they may reach their fullest potential;
(3) concern with the success of all stakeholders, broadly defined—employees, customers, business partners, communities, and society as a whole—including those who are the least privileged; and
(4) self-reflection, as a counter to the leader's hubris.
